Deborah McDermott

Deborah McDermott was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where she developed a great love for books and writing. She met and married her husband Sean in 1990 and worked with him on a number of ventures. The McDermotts emigrated from Zimbabwe to New Zealand in 2006 and settled in Waiuku, South Auckland with their two sons, Daniel and Peter.

Deborah became a New Zealand citizen in 2012 and has been involved with NZ Christian Writers since 2007, taking on the role of Board Member and Editor of The Christian Writer in 2010, as well as that of Judge of Level One NZCW bimonthly writing competitions.

 

She has successfully published two novels: Voyage of the Redeemed in 2010; And the Lion Roared No More in November 2018. 

 

Feedback from readers of her latest novel has been excellent and several requests to produce the sequel as soon as possible has motivated Deborah to once again put pen to paper.
